A late evening trip to Oare marshes turned out to be a worth while trip with plenty of birds close to the road.

Oare Marshes
Its fantastic to see that Avocets are making a great recovery. There are a number of birds that have bred successfully at Oare Marshes. At least 2 pairs have nested within a very short distance from the road giving watchers and photographers great views.
Sandwich Bay Butts
Good numbers of Butterflies at Sandwich Bay just now. Its a shame that the high winds over the last few days have meant that there has not been the opportunity to do much macro work.
Hothfield Common
A trip to Hothfield Common was disappointing due to most of the pond areas being completely dried out. There were very few Damselflies and Dragons in even smaller numbers. The Sundew was still doing well though and made for some interesting shots.

Corn Buntings and Meadow Pipits
Came across a couple of birds today that were so amiable on occasions that I had to change lenses down to a 180mm macro and for a few shots I even used a 24-70mm

A cunning plan.
Although the foxes have been showing themselves, its proving very difficult to get good/interesting shots. I shall have to work out how to be more cunning....
